Red Berries Pure Fruit Edible Tea

Tea Farm

The fruit is grown in accordance with strict EU organic regulations, ensuring a cultivation free from chemical pesticides or artificial fertilisers. The fruits are allowed to slowly ripen until the peak harvest time and are immediately freeze-dried after picking. As a result, the tea is exceptionally flavourful and naturally sweet, even without any added flavourings.

Fruit Tea

Fruit tea is a fragrant infusion made from dried fruits, flowers, and herbs, cherished in Europe since the Middle Ages both as a delicacy and for its medicinal benefits. Monasteries in particular used rose hips, apple pieces, and berries to create soothing brews. Our fruit teas stand out for the exceptional quality of their ingredients: they are made exclusively from freeze-dried fruits (and in some cases, vegan caramel), ensuring that their naturally sweet and intense flavour is fully preserved. This allows them to deliver the pure taste of fruit – completely free from artificial additives while offering maximum flavour.

Yoshien Labortests

Laboratory Tests

We go to great lengths to identify the finest organic tea farms across the world’s most celebrated terroirs. All our teas are sourced directly from the farmer and, with a few exceptions, are certified organic or come from pesticide-free farms. Each batch of tea for every harvest is tested for pesticides and other pollutants in an independent German lab to ensure they meet our strict quality standards as well as HACCP food safety requirements. Likewise, the regions of Japan from which we source our teas are tested for radioactivity for every harvest.

Cultivation & Processing

Cultivation & Processing

Our edible fruit teas are made exclusively from freeze-dried organic fruits such as juicy strawberries, aromatic raspberries, and fruity apples, providing intense natural flavour. Freeze-drying is an especially gentle process in which the fruits are frozen at extremely low temperatures before being dehydrated via vacuum. This method preserves not only the colour, taste, and nutrients, but also the natural sweetness of the fruits. Unlike conventionally dried fruits, which often lose their aroma due to heat, freeze-drying delivers an exceptionally intense flavour experience – completely free from artificial additives.

These edible teas are designed to be enjoyed both as a fruit tea infusion and as a delicious, healthy fruit snack. Whether eaten in their raw, crunchy form or enjoyed as rehydrated fruit after brewing, our edible fruit teas are a refreshing, flavourful treat.

Preparation

Brewing Guide

Add 2 teaspoons (7g) to 250ml of boiling water (100°C) and let steep for 4-8 minutes. The brewed fruits can be eaten with a spoon after infusion.

This tea can also be prepared as iced tea. Simply brew it as described above, then pour it directly over ice cubes to cool. Stir – and enjoy! For an extra refreshing twist, add a bit of fresh mint.

Shake well before each preparation to evenly mix the fruits.

Packaging & Storage

Packed in an especially high-quality, flavour-preserving pouch with a zipper and stand-up base. Because of its multi-layer, airtight construction, the tea is optimally protected against oxidation and external contaminants. When closing the pouch, press out as much air as possible before sealing. Alternatively, and especially for long-term storage, we recommend our airtight tea caddies.

Recommended Tea Pot

The ideal way to prepare this tea is with a glass teapot, through which you can watch the rich colours infuse as it steeps. Alternatively, a porcelain teapot is also a good choice. We do not recommend using a Kyusu or a Chinese clay teapot, as the acidity, aromas, and natural pigments of the fruits can be absorbed into the clay.
