Tea Farm

This tea farm is regarded as a pioneer of organic herb cultivation in Switzerland. Since 1982, the family-run business has been farming its fields according to organic principles, becoming EU certified organic in 1991. Since the farm's inception they have avoided chemical pesticides and fertilisers, ensuring purity and quality across multiple decades. Harvesting and weeding are carried out by hand, and the plants are processed on-site in the company’s own facilities. The tea farmer places great importance on adhering to the highest ecological standards, maintaining a deep connection to nature, and producing exceptional-quality teas and blossoms.

Herbal Teas

Herbal teas have been one of the most important applications of traditional herbal medicine for centuries. When steeped in water, a large proportion of their valuable active compounds are released, making them relatively easy for the body to absorb. Each herb contains a unique complex of active ingredients, sometimes combining hundreds of individual substances in a distinctive way. For our herbal teas, we select only the finest quality herbs from the best terroirs worldwide, sourced from certified organic cultivation or wild harvesting. Many of our farms are small, family-run businesses driven by passion and generations of expertise in growing and processing the highest-quality herbs and wild plants.

Laboratory Tests

We go to great lengths to identify the finest organic tea farms across the world’s most celebrated terroirs. All our teas are sourced directly from the farmer and, with a few exceptions, are certified organic or come from pesticide-free farms. Each batch of tea for every harvest is tested for pesticides and other pollutants in an independent German lab to ensure they meet our strict quality standards as well as HACCP food safety requirements.

Cultivation & Processing

Special features in location, cultivation and processing

Thanks to its unique climatic conditions, the idyllic valley in which the tea farm is nestled in the Grisons Alps is ideal for growing herbs and flowers. The plants are exposed to a stimulating climate at 1000 metres, surrounded by high mountains, which slows their growth and increases their proportion of nutrients. Their location on the southern side of the Alps allows them to benefit from a high number of sunny days, intense sunlight, and significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. Depending on the weather, the harvest begins at different times in May or June, during the peak flowering phase. The blossoms are carefully hand-picked and then gently air-dried in the mountain sun before being packaged, preserving their delicate qualities.

Single Origin

These flowers come 100% from the Grison Alps, sourced directly from the tea farm.
