After use, wipe off any matcha residue using a soft cloth. May be washed by hand with warm water and washing-up liquid, then gently towel dry to prevent water stains. Do not soak.

Authentic Japanese Natsume container for storing Matcha during tea ceremonies before whisking into thin Usucha tea. This black Natsume is decorated with golden cranes applied using the traditional Maki-e technique where metal powder is sprinkled onto wet lacquer. In Japanese culture the crane and pine tree represent good fortune and longevity.
