Furui

A fine sifter or furui will remove any small lumps in powdered matcha tea to ensure the smoothest result. Make sure to only sift the amount of matcha that is about to be used, as after a few hours, humidity in the air will cause the matcha to clump together again.

Matcha Furui 抹茶篩

Whether whipping up a bowl of tea, or mixing Matcha into baked goods, smoothies or shakes, a fine mesh Matcha Furui or sifter will remove any small lumps and help unfold the aroma for the smoothest result.

How to use the Kondo Matcha Furui:

  • Insert the sieve in the container.
  • Place stainless steel millstones on top of the sieve.
  • Put the required amount of Matcha in the sifter, keeping it below the half-way point.
  • Close the lid and gently shake sideways in a circular motion – not up and down.
  • Use the sieved matcha promptly as after a few hours humidity in the air can cause it to clump together again.

How to use

Insert the sifter in the container,
Place stainless steel millstones in the filter,
Put the desired amount of matcha on the sifter,
Close the lid and shake slowly - right / left or circling; not up / down.

Finely sifterd Matcha unfolds the aroma optimally and results in a particularly even and fine matcha. When using in baking and for smoothies and shakes, it is advisable to sifter the matcha beforehand for even processing and the best possible development of the taste.

Care

When cleaning, tap and wipe off the matcha with a soft cloth or tissue. Only wash with water when necessary and always dry thoroughly to minimise the risk of rust.
