Tea Farm

This tea is sourced directly from an organic tea farm in Yunnan that has cultivated tea without artificial pesticides or fertilisers since it was founded, and received EU Organic certification in 2015. The tea trees, between 20 and 50 years old, are harvested late in the year due to the incredibly high altitude of 3000m to 4000m,

Jasmine Tea

Jasmine tea is a highly floral, slightly sweet Chinese tea scented with the aroma of jasmine flowers. Green tea is often used as the base but white, black and oolong teas may also be used. High quality jasmine teas are gently and repeatedly perfumed with real, fresh jasmine blossoms, added to the tea leaves during the final drying stages, then carefully removed before packaging.

Laboratory Tests

We go to great lengths to identify the finest organic tea farms across the world’s most celebrated terroirs. All our teas are sourced directly from the farmer and, with a few exceptions, are certified organic or come from pesticide-free farms. Each batch of tea for every harvest is tested for pesticides and other pollutants in an independent German lab to ensure they meet our strict quality standards as well as HACCP food safety requirements.

Cultivation & Processing

The tea field is located in a very beautiful, mountainous terrain, with steep slopes and good drainage, at an exceptionally high altitude of over 3000m, which ensures a particularly high quality of tea leaves. Due to the climatic conditions – plenty of rain, overcast skies, cooler temperatures – the new buds grow very slowly, which means the first harvest of the year takes place relatively late, in mid-May.

The tea leaves are harvested from trees up to 50 years old, which are rolled and scented four to five times with fresh, organic jasmine flowers from the famed "jasmine town" of Hengzhou in Guangxi Province, southwest China, where jasmine has been cultivated for centuries.

Single Origin

This tea is exclusively sourced from one tea farm in Yunnan.
