Hashiri Shincha 2024 Hatsumono set with the very first Japanese green teas of the year from the rare, particularly early special cultivars Shoju and Kuritawase from the southern Pacific islands of Tanegashima, grown without chemical pesticides, 2x80g + 1x40g

Hashiri Shincha Tanegashima Shoju

Contest Grade 99 P.

Extremely pronounced umami and sweetness (strengths of the Shoju cultivar), invigorating and refreshing yet very balanced with a mild, rounded character. Classic green tea taste of fresh grass. 40g

Hashiri Shincha Tanegashima Kuritawase

Super Premium 97 P.

This pleasant shincha is exceptionally soft and rounded with strong umami, full-bodied depth and a perfectly matching bitterness. A truly invigorating and robust tea. The flavour is very pleasant with stimulating, light vegetal notes reminiscent of fresh grass and a touch of vanilla. 80g

Hashiri Shincha Tanegashima Shuntaro

Super Premium 97 P.

Very straightforward shincha from the rare Shuntaro cultivar with a soft sweetness and fresh green aroma. Its character is quite mild for a shincha; due to its lightness, this shincha is particularly palatable. 80g
