Miyazaki
Miyazaki's landscape boasts beautiful mountains, gorgeous coastal scenery and a warm climate. It is the prefecture with the most sunny days, and so the power of the sun can also be found in the teas from our Miyazaki Sabō tea farm. Mr. Miyazaki specialises in the best and purest Kamairicha, disregards all forms of chemical pesticides and loves to create interesting and varied aroma blends with his teas. He is also famous for his outstanding Sannenbancha, whose three-year-grown tea plants are full of nutrient-rich energy. Miyazaki's great interest is not only in tea cultivation but also in botany and floriculture, a fact that is unmistakably evident in his very floral-aromatic teas.
Kamairicha
Our partner farm Miyazaki Sabo produces the best Kamairicha, which, similar to green teas from China, have been heated in a kind of pan instead of with hot steam as is usual for Japanese green tea. As a result, kamairicha tastes less grassy and brings with it light roasted aromas and a light, clear sweetness.
Sannenbancha and Hōjicha
Warming Sannenbancha and lightly roasted Hōjicha from our partner farm Miyazaki Sabo. The clear, mineral notes of Sannenbancha offers an elegant alternative to the nutty floral aroma of Bō Hōjicha made purely of stems.
Oolong
The finest Japanese oolong from our partner farm Miyazaki Sabō with a harmonious dialogue between strong roasted notes and floral freshness.
Wakocha
Rare Japanese Wakōcha black teas by Miyazaki Sabō made from 100 year old indigienous Zairai tea trees for a unique black tea experience.
Sencha & Kabusecha
Other top-quality classic steamed green teas from Miyazaki such as sencha and kabusecha. Despite the strong taste for Kyushu teas, the green teas from Miyazaki are much finer and offer elegant flavours. Ideal teas for strong infusions.
