Korean Green Tea
Like Chinese green tea, most Korean green teas, or Nokcha (녹차) are pan-roasted after harvesting to stop oxidation, preserving the green colour and vegetal aroma, while giving the tea a fine roasted note. Our Imperial Grade Spring Flush third harvest, or Joongjak (중작), tea is hand-plucked from trees growing semi-wild without pesticides at the foot of Jirisan mountain – the tallest mountain on mainland Korea – enveloped by fog and bamboo forests that provide natural shade and moisture for optimal tea growing conditions.
