Sannen Bancha
A very alkaline green tea with special polysaccharides and a low caffeine content. The mildly sweet sannen bancha is closely related to bancha, but the leaves and stems are either gently matured (jukusei) or allowed to grow (koba) for a period of 3 years (san nen; 三年) before undergoing a nuanced roasting process. We offer rare organic sannen bancha from top Japanese farms, including the highly renowned, pioneering Miyazaki Sabo.

Bancha
A variety of green tea traditionally made from the coarser leaves of later harvests. Mild and alkaline with a certain minerality. A good evening tea; low in caffeine
Hojicha
High-quality sencha and bancha roasted by experienced tea farmers for an especially full-bodied character and delicately sweet roasted aromas. Warming and low in caffeine
Karigane Kukicha
This green tea is made predominantly from the stems of sencha and gyokuro and is therefore very mild and low in caffeine, with lots of umami/amino acids and a light sweetness
Genmaicha
High-quality sencha and bancha blended with roasted rice, which, in addition to the sweet roasted notes, gives the teas a warming and particularly wholesome and mild character
