GABA Tea

GABA (γ-aminobutyric acid) is an important non-proteinogenic endogenous amino acid. GABA teas, appreciated by connoisseurs for their smooth, buttery taste, are naturally enriched with GABA through unique oxygen-free storage during production. We source these special teas directly from selected top farmers from either pesticide-free or certified organic farms. Since the GABA content can fluctuate with each batch, we test every delivery for GABA content and pollutants in our German laboratory and report accordingly.

Extremely GABA-rich green teas with a lab-confirmed content of at least 300mg per 100g tea. GABA 300 Kinezuka is sourced directly from the organic purist Kinezuka Seicha and contains 330mg GABA per 100g. In addition, we have two GABA ≥300 teas from Hiranayagi which present with the perfect balance of high GABA and a full-bodied taste reminiscent of creamy buttered spinach. The range is rounded off by our especially potent GABA Gyokuro, which was shaded before harvesting.
