Benifuuki
The Benifuuki cultivar is an assamica and sinensis hybrid that makes an incredibly potent green tea with a uniquely high content of catechins – namely EGCG and ECG, as well as the rare methylated catechins EGCG3''Me / -4''Me. Beneath the distinctively bitter taste of Benifuuki is a floral sweetness and a suggestion of black tea. Sourced directly from various tea farms in southern Japan and tested in a German laboratory.
