Cultivation & Processing
Rooibos is endemic to the Cederberg mountains, known for their extraordinary rock formations and well-preserved prehistoric paintings by the indigenous San people. The San were the first to drink Rooibos tea and hundreds of years later their processing methods are used to this day.
Thanks to heavy rainfall in winter, water accumulates in the limestone-rich soil, providing the Rooibos plants with enough moisture through the summer where temperatures can reach up to 48°C. For a few weeks in spring, the seemingly barren region brings forth a dense tapestry of wild flowers that attracts visitors from all over the world.

This tea is sourced directly from one tea farm in the Cederberg mountains.
